This book came about during the long months of the lockdown during the corona crisis in 2020. The idea was born many years ago and has been quietly simmering and maturing somewhere deep down.
The original idea was to put together a small course of a few pages for a few enthusiasts who wanted to explore the world of woodturning. The idea was to start from scratch so that people without any prior knowledge of woodturning could still acquire the necessary basic knowledge in a pleasant and clear manner and in (hopefully) simple and clear language. After acquiring this basic knowledge, they would then be able to start practising and turning their first workpieces more confidently and safely.
