The MIDI 2 PLUS lathe is the successor to the proven MIDI 2.
The "PLUS" in the name of the new version stands for the new cast iron bench bed, which has been completely redesigned and has a stand width of 30 cm.
The resulting larger support surface noticeably increases the stability of the machine and optimises working comfort, as vibrations are now even better damped.
(Many conventional bench lathes have a stand width of only approx. 15 - 20 cm).
Despite the new bench bed with a larger stand width, the weight has increased only slightly and therefore the machine is still very suitable for transport to markets, etc.
In addition, the MIDI 2 PLUS scores with some other decisive improvements:
New bench bed with extra wide support surface (footprint) of 30 cm
Bench bed now fits the solid machine base PRO
New hand rest 250 mm
New, larger face plate D = 95 mm (instead of 78 mm)
Magnetic control box with additional safety functions:
- the green start button lights up when the machine is in operation
- a yellow LED warning lamp lights up when reverse is activated
