Japanese saws are characterised by their toothing geometry. The so-called trapezoidal toothing (shaped like the tip of a Japanese knife) is ideal for cuts across the grain. The triangular toothing (shaped like a chisel) is particularly suitable for cuts along the grain. There is also a hybrid of both types. This toothing is for universal use.
