Screw-in cleats are only used for clamping cross timbers (longitudinal timbers). The larger versions are sometimes fitted with 4 or more bores to accommodate additional screws. These take-away plates can be very useful because they are very compact, and because they clamp the wood close to the axis. We offer a 75 mm iron take-away plate (WVP75M33 and WVP751) with accompanying screw holder. Two smaller screw fittings are available as an option.
