Oneway is the manufacturer par excellence that constantly thinks along with woodturners, simply because the top people at Oneway are woodturners themselves. One of their latest novelties, the Thread-Lok, is the result of that "thinking along". Woodturners often want to make the handles for their turning chisels themselves; some even have their own design. Making the handle in itself is of course no problem, but fitting the chisel correctly into the handle is not always obvious.

That is why Oneway has invented the "THREAD-LOK" handle coupler. This coupler is made in anodised aluminium. It has a bore on one side into which the round handle of the chisel fits and on the other side there is a (larger) tapered bore with special internal threads into which the handle is screwed. Of course, a hole still needs to be drilled in the handle, but both the diameter and centricity of that hole are no longer critical at all.

Moreover, Oneway has created templates that indicate the precise shape of the end of the handle barrel that needs to fit into the coupler.

The "Thread-lok" fittings are available for turning chisels with round stems (ice-turning gouges, profiling gouges) with diameters of 6, 10 and 13 mm. A jig with the external shape of the handle is available for each diameter.
