A profiling gouge is used for profiling (shaping) when turning between centres. When making concave shapes, a "scooping" movement is made, whereby the fold remains in contact with the wood. For convex forms, a "rolling" movement is performed. At the end of the movement, the tool lies on its side. Handle of 254 mm made of colored beech wood.
