RS861H Mini spindle gouge - 1/4" (6 mm)
These detail tools are used when the wood grain runs parallel to the turning bed between the centers.
Profile gouges are used to create inlets, beads and other profiles on cups, vases, bed poles, candlesticks and other lathe projects.
RS866H Mini roughing gouge - 8 mm
The 8 mm spindle roughing gouge has a shallower flute than a traditional roughing gouge. The shallow flute allows for more finesse and control when turning down to the required size. This reduces the chances of chipping and breakages, on these sometimes-brittle materials.
RS868H Mini Multi Shear Scraper - 10 mm
This tool features a blade with 4 cutting edges, meaning you can easily turn it up to 3 times, giving you a fresh edge before you need to sharpen. Best used when making acrylic blanks. The blade has rounded cutting edges for ease of use.
We recommend sharpening the blade with a diamond file (RS224) flat over the top surface.
RS869H Mini skew chisel - 12 mm
Offering twice the cutting edge of its 6.35 mm counterpart, this tool also carries a little more weight making it ideal for slightly larger projects. Ideal for pen turning.
RS870H Mini Fluted parting tool - 2 mm
This parting tool has a flute running along the bottom edge, creating two sharp spurs at the cutting face. These sever the fibres to produce a burnished finish. The tapered profile also reduces the risk of binding in the cut.
