The Kel McNaughton Centre-Saver System, acclaimed by woodturners throughout the world, is a very fine tool that contributes much to the world of woodturning.

The heart of the Centre-Saver System is the toolrest which gives complete freedom for the turner to choose the angle of presentation allowing for an infinite variety of shapes. The same toolrest will also accept three different sizes of blades - miniature, standard and large. This set comes with the standard blades to make bowls between 102 and 406 mm.

The System can be used with either left or right handed blades which means that turning can be either inboard or outboard as well as allowing for stock to be held at the open end of the faceplate. (Safest and best way to remove centres).

It should be assumed that one must have a solid, heavy-duty woodlathe and that the engine power must be at least 1 hp (power output).

The standard set includes a 5 pin blade holder, 3 curved blades plus one straight blade and a KH3 handle. The five pin gate supplied accepts standard centre saving blades and the integrated hollowing gate can be used with Kelton 8 mm, 12,7 mm and 15,8 mm hollowing tools.
