Shape: Captive ring cutter 4,76 mm
Designed to create curtain rings, wheels and captive rings on goblets and puzzles, these cutters are an extremely popular addition to Robert Sorby’s cutter range. They can also be angled on the tool to allow for access to restricted space.
Sharpening: Use a diamond file or honing stone flat across the top face. Try to do this often to increase the longevity of the product. It is possible to sharpen this part while it is mounted on a tool.
Alternatively you can use the RS472 holder to reshape the profile on a Robert Sorby ProEdge or a bench grinder.
